This is not a restaurant. This is a bar that serves really good pizza. For those in the know, it would be great, but for a first-time visitor...a little confusing. If you walk in expecting the restaurant experience, you will be disappointed. The place was crowded, and the procedure for ordering food was not immediately clear. Eventually someone took pity on us an explained it. If you come in expecting a bar, and behave accordingly, it is great. Also, FYI, they do not take credit cards, but there is an ATM by the order window so I guess that's ok.
Was, alright at best. Unique environment but if your under 40 probably not the place for you. Although the beer was cheap, cold and good so ya really can't go wrong on that point.
Bring cash. Moose was a dear friend of everyone in the neighborhood and his daughter has preserved the tradition magnificently. Hands down the best pizza in the Flathead Valley
A tradition in Kalispell! Beer and wine only. You can toss your peanut shells on the floor. Good pizza and sandwiches. Family friendly.
Came through Kalispell after a trip to Glacier and stopped in here because it was rated "one of the 10 best places" in town. Wish I had read all the reviews- we also were not greeted by anyone and had to ask what to do. When your restaurant paradigm is different than the norm and you're in a tourist town, help folks out- greet your customers or have a sign saying order at the window (which also serves as the kitchen's exit). Any drink has to be ordered and paid for separately at the bar. Sandwiches were not bad but you could easily make the same or better in your own kitchen. Served with a side of store-bought potato chips. I can maybe understand wanting to go have a beer here late at night, but I don't get people raving about the food. And the "ambiance" of a dark place with dated decor and sawdust on the floors does not fit a lunchtime experience (when we were there). It also felt a bit grungy as another reviewer noted and cash or check only (we found out after we ordered- thankfully the husband had some cash). I would not go here again, wouldn't recommend, and I really can't imagine that this place is better than most of the others in town.
