The real beef is that I had established with Kent that I needed a place to stay for the duration of summer while I worked in the area, with a few breaks where I had to return home for work training, or fulfilling my service obligation to the Oregon Army National Guard. We agreed on a price, over the phone that met federal per diem rates. Upon check in I gave him a list of dates that I would be staying. To include my checkouts to attend my Guard drills. After staying there almost a month it was time to return to Oregon. Kent asked if I could just keep the room over the month because the “house keeper” (he calls his wife the house keeper) didn’t want to do a full clean. His counter offer was to charge me $99 a night over the 3 days I was gone. Mind you two days prior he had no reservations booked for my room for the weekend. When I refused, he said he wouldn’t be able to guarantee the rest of my stay AND he would have to charge me at a higher rate.

Owners were very accommodating, checking on us to make sure we had enough towels and coffee! Our room was very clean and spacious with a living room and kitchenette. It had everything we needed for our short stay. Our bed was very comfortable as well! Very convenient location, close to the Montana Coffee Traders which we really enjoyed! Would definitely recommend it to a friend!

I work construction and they threatened to make me pay for towels, all the while the “housekeeper” was sweet to my face. They asked me to keep my room more tidy… the first time any hotel has asked that of me. Everytime housekeeping comes in they turn off the AC.

This review is for the Glacier Ridge Inn and Suites in Kalispell Montana. I would not stay here again if my life depended on it. Kent and his Wife Monet run this place… Its very cute and well equipped, the bed is excellent and it is well decorated. That’s where the fun stops. First of all it is on the intersection of two busy highways. The road noise is significant. There is a garbage truck that comes at least 3, sometimes 4 days a week between 4:30 and 5:15 AM Saturday, Sunday, Monday with out fail. There is a Travel lodge next door, and sometimes their occupants get loud out in the parking lot. The air conditioning is inadequate for the rooms. There is no laundry available and the fridge is a mini fridge.

I contacted Glacier Ridge Suites while in the process of looking for a permanent rental. Their monthly rate is outrageous and he claimed that he was cutting me a good deal. I stayed there for about six weeks (paid for two months) and when I gave notice of wanting to leave sooner he refused to refund anything because he said the monthly rate is the same as the weekly rate. I had someone occasionally staying with me and got pulled aside one day and said that I paid for one person not two and that it would be an extra $10.00 a day to have someone stay there and they would need to sign the agreement at the front desk immediately. There were constantly people in there while I was gone. I would leave the air conditioning on while I was gone for a little while and would come back and it would be turned off and the controller would be moved. One time I came back and there was a note that said don't turn it below 70. There was no notice when they would have the cable repair guy come and I had to leave the unit one day so they could be in there. Another time one of the cleaners opened the door without even knocking and tried to barge right in. There is absolutely no privacy. The kitchen is not fully equipped with everything and I found myself going and buying certain utensils and pots/pans. The internet is terribly slow. The parking is horrible and the Centurylink building next door leaves towing notes on your car if you park in one of their spots because Glacier Ridge only has three spots, which are usually occupied by Kent and Janeen. When I finally left I received a text message from Kent accusing me of stealing the HDMI cable for the television. I would not recommend this place to anyone for a night, a week or a month. Complete control freaks who take advantage of your money and leave you with absolutely no privacy.

We have now stayed at Glacier Ridge Suites twice and absolutely hope to stay there again in the future. The rooms are clean, tidy, comfortable, and are equipped with everything you need. Kent and Janeen are lovely people and really looked after us during our stay. We were offered fresh towels every day, extra coffee if we needed, and anything they could do to make our stay more comfortable. We'll be back for sure!

By the time I finish my travel nurse contract I would have been here for 6 months. I have found Kent and Janeen Lempke as owner managers to be most accommodating and courteous. The location of the Suites gives easy access to shops and businesses down town and its location near the intersection of Hwys 2 and 93 give easy assess to the Flathead Lake and River Valley, the Swan Mountains, and the Glacier National Park. The whole suite unit is well maintained and the staff extremely helpful. If I ever come again to Northwest Montana this would be my place to reside. I love the privacy I have been afforded as a long-term stay resident.
