I got a burger and a large baked potato. The burger was very tasty. But I like fried with my burgers, and they don't do fries. As a side I got the macaroni & cheese. Although they feature itblike it's a specialty of theirs, it tasted like regular mac n cheese. My baked potato was okay and filling but pretty plain. It had chicken, cheese, sour cream and BBQ sauce. The decor is cool, the workers are nice. Although it's not the best food I ever had, I'd probably visit again.
The service is amazing. The food is incredible. Truly noteworthy...warm cornbread with whipped honey butter, 4 kinds of mac n cheese! I tried both the traditional and smoky bacon, both of which I ate ALL of!! Clean plates! The ribs were fall off the bone tender, bbq sauce a perfect combination of sweet and tart. My mouth is watering just thinking of going back!!
We had the Desoto burgers with smoky bacon mac n cheese. The burgers were fantastic, so flavorful. I tried the local draft root beer from Kalispell Brewery. It was great. Not overly sweet and with right amount of bite. Will return again.
This place was absolutely amazing, the best place we've eaten on our trip hands down. The atmosphere is fun, the food was great, and reasonably priced. My husband and I shared the combo platter, we had the pulled pork, smoked beef brisket, and the elk sausage along with jalapeno mac & cheese, collard greens, and baked beans. I can't rave enough about the food. not to mention their local root beer and their homemade strawberry lemonade. I would recommend this place to everyone!!
First time here, most reviews were good so we tried it...I had the brisket sandwich and smoked veggies which both had decent flavor but the brisket was crunchy on the edges of the slices almost as if they tried to sear it on the grill and it was dry and the "smoked" veggies tasted the same as if they were skillet cooked. Had my husband try it too beings my favorite is the brisket so I tend to be a snob when it comes to brisket and he is the one that pointed out the crunchiness and being dry. My husband had the pulled sandwich and pork belly collared greens. He liked his sandwich and we both liked the collared greens. However he asked for a slice of cheese on his sandwich and that was a $1.25 added to the bill for a slice of cheese (sad given I can get an entire package of deli style cheese for $1.99) Serve wasn't horrible.
