I just started MMT here on Monday after 12 years of stopping the treatment in Louisiana due to various factors. I just kept relapsing and could never get it together. I can already tell than the staff here are much more compassionate than what I saw previously in the last clinic I attended. The staff at CMS are polite and helpful and not just with me because I am new. I have watched how they interact with other patients and they seem caring, professional and are all around good people who really do care as opposed to what I have seen in other opioid maintenance facilities. It was not an easy decision for me to get back on methadone maintenance but after meeting the doctor, my counselor and the receptionists, I do not regret it one bit. I really do believe that this time around I can get some great help and am ready to move on with my life, leaving behind years of misery.
This place is amazing and has saved my life in many people's lives that I know
If I could give no stars to this place I would. This "medical clinic" is nothing more than a legal drug dealer. They have dodged phone calls from medical providers and refuse to allow patients to get off of Methadone when they really want to. We, the tax payers, are paying for anyone that is pregnant to go there.
I wonder how they will treat me after this...
Shame on this establishment. I wouldn't even rate this place 1 star but that's not an option. The level of blaten disrespect to the clients that sit there for a minimum of 45 minutes to dose is relevant. 8 people or 50 people in the loby the wait can be as long as 2 hours! The amount of man hours wasted waiting is astronomical! The people on privileges get called in for counts cut in front of the order causing complete dysfunction to the system (people missing work, anger and frustration are a daily occurance) . There needs to be a second Nurse or a second window or some possible way to make this process function. Maybe An automated dispense system? This proccess should take 15-25 minutes Maximum! I don't get paid to figure out solutions (that's what business administration if for). I assure you that I am not only speaking for myself. I pray you take serious consideration and address this issue. There are a lot of people that depend on Your Company. It is the ONLY clinic in town that offers this service and you will only keep Expanding and growing. Are profits more important than people?
This establishment is simply a legal place to sell drugs. All they want is their money. No one there actually cares about your problems, addictions, pains or mental health. If you call with concerns, they ignore you. If you have problems with payment, they will cut you off without concern. If you paid and they can't find it in their records, they wont research it for you and when they find it, after they've denied you services, they wont credit your account. They do not care one bit about people. They know that people abuse their system but they choose to give the hard working people trying to get there life back on track, a hard time and just continue to let the abusers abuse. I hope that this program gets mandated to be government regulated soon so that in the future they can actually do the community some good.
